No more excuses, no more fear, no more running away. It’s time to conquer, it’s time to stop the procrastination and putting off what we need to do for what we want to do. It’s getting us no where. It’s taking us longer to get us to where we need to be because we are distracting ourselves or making it harder on ourselves by avoiding what needs to be done.
How many times will you say to yourself I’ll do it later? How many times will you talk yourself out of doing the important for the least important? How many times will you avoid the hard just because it’s not easy?
I’m tired and I’m so over holding myself back with useless excuses that are getting me no where. Time and time again, I realize that I am not as far as I could be if I would just KNUCKLE down and do what the heck needs to be done. I get so frustrated with myself when I look up to see that I have had the same thing on my to do list for 2 days in a row. Even though I do get a lot of other things accomplished, sometimes I feel like I could get more accomplished if I didn’t waste time. Then I analyze my day wondering what I choose to do instead, of course it always involves something I had no business doing or something that wasn’t benefiting me in the first place.
So, I am done. I am done with making excuses and allowing useless things to take up my time. I am going to give every ounce of my being to accomplish everything that needs to be done day by day, step by step. Realizing that it all begins in your mind. Realizing that in order to truly conquer I must first control my mind, and force myself to do it even when I don’t feel like it.
It’s not about what you feel like doing. Your emotions will stir you in the wrong direction, and will make you feel like never doing it. You have to realize what is more important to you. You have to realize what it is that you really want for your life and go after it with your whole entire being, no matter what.
NO MORE EXCUSES! Excuses are the plague of your dreams. Excuses are the failures to your success. If you really want something out of your life, you won’t make excuses.
Today I have decided that no matter what I will make no excuses. Especially when I see people around me that are highly successful and making no excuses at all.
One of my friends husband cut is finger in half, and had to undergo emergency surgery last Saturday, and even though he is in pain, he is right back to work on Monday. That is dedication, that is no excuses. This man could have easily made up a million excuses why he couldn’t go to work on Monday, after cutting his finger in half, but he DIDN’T. He instead, probably choose to think about all the reasons why he needed to go to work, and looked at the greater purpose, rather than the temporary dissatisfaction.
If that doesn’t motivate you to not make any excuses, I don’t know what will. I look at my life, and although I have come along way, I feel like I could be a lot further if I would just stop making excuses and just do more of what needs to be done.
Realize that nothing is going to be easy, especially when you are working towards something satisfying. Realize that the road to success is going to be paved with many ups and downs. Realize that if you really want what you say you want, not only do you have to be dedicated, committed, but you also have to pursue it no matter what happens in your life.
Keep your eyes on the bigger picture. Keep your eyes on the vision, the dreams, the purpose. Keep your eyes on the prize of life, and make up in your mind today that you are going to give it every ounce of your being to get there. No matter what it looks like, no matter how you feel, no matter what happens……. that you will make NO EXCUSES and give it all you have.
It won’t happen overnight, it happens one step at a time. But it’s the choice of what we are doing in those steps that determines the distance we make towards our future.
One step at a time, No Excuses, Hard work, and a whole lot of faith…… YOU CAN! I CAN! We CAN! Do IT!!!!!
What’s one excuse you want to stop making today?
